The Passion of The Christ

Hit (not suitable for children or persons with easy gag reflexes) – Starring James Caviezel, Monica Bellucci. Produced and directed by Mel Gibson.

The Passion of The Christ depicts the last twelve hours of the life of Jesus. The story begins at the garden of Gethsemane where Jesus is praying. Shortly after his prayer Judas arrives to betray Jesus and have him arrested. The film continues with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

A beautiful peace of art directed magnanimously by Mel Gibson. While this movie is horribly difficult to watch it is a film that will make you think (and sometimes make you cringe). I can’t imagine what it is like to be Jim Caviezel in this film. I really did feel as though he was in an enormous amount of pain. Jim, wherever you are, your performance was unforgettable. Bottom Line: Good movie, but rent this film when you are in the mood to watch it.

Best Scene: Every flashback sequence, although, I also like when the children are running after Judas.

Rated R for sequences of graphic violence.
