Miss – Starring Nicole Kidman, Lauren Bacall, Cameron Bright
Birth is a story about a woman, Anna (Nicole Kidman), who loses her husband. Ten years pass and a young boy says he is her husband, Sean, reincarnated.
I knew this movie was going to be bad from the opening scene. The first scene showed a man running for literally 10 minutes. It never changed camera angles. It was the same shot for seemingly forever.
The story was also very weak. What was made to probably be a serious movie, was actually quite comical at times. The acting was also boring. I felt there was no emotion, which made the slow movie even slower.
Another scene in this film was similar to the first one described above. The camera stayed on Nicole Kidman’s face for 5 minutes. I kept waiting for emotion to change or something to happen and nothing did!
There was no climax in the movie and it ended suddenly. I almost fell asleep and I was tempted to walk out numerous times. Bottom Line: Don’t waste your money even when it comes out on DVD.
Best Scene: Not Applicable.
Rated R for sexuality.
Drama (but unknowingly comedic)
