Hit – Starring Cary Elwes, Leigh Whannell, Danny Glover, Monica Potter
A serial killer named “Jigsaw” convinces people to try to save themselves, or die trying. Most of the “Jigsaw’s” victims end up in the morgue, but the point of the game is to realize the value of your life, and save your life, before you die a horrible death.
A bone chilling thriller. This movie will make you jump out of your skin because of it’s haunting premise. To think that someone could drive another person to kill themselves is outright horrifying. I felt this movie could have been served with a better title. The title “Saw” doesn’t really make me think. The first thing that comes to mind is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This movie does not have anything that remotely resembles the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Cary Elwes delivers an excellent performance. Leigh Whannell gives a great performance of being a bad real life actor. The funniest thing in real life is running into people who are bad real life actors. Leigh does a great job of portraying those people we occasionally run into everyday. Danny Glover is always excellent and this film is no exception to the rule. Monica Potter does not play a large role in this film but she does a good job of looking like she is a scared cat.
Bottom Line: This movie will make you think, and it will creep you out. If your stomach can handle it, see this scary movie.
