Hit – Starring Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Lee
A family of superhero’s attempts to live a “normal” life, but is called into action when the world is threatened by Syndrome (Mr. Incredible’s all time biggest fan). How did life become so complicated? It all started when Mr. Incredible (Nelson) and Elastigirl (Hunter) were forced to remain their ‘secret identities’ due to a string of lawsuits concerning citizen’s rights to “not be saved.” Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl went into a life of hiding as Bob and Helen Parr. Bob begins to dred his life as a normal loan processor, and a normal citizen, that he cannot resist the call when a mysterious person asks him to do a superhero job. Now back in action, Mr. Incredible is captured and needs family assistance.
There is something for everyone in this movie. Pixar has presented a fantastic adventure revolving around extraordinary people. Children as well as adults will love this movie. Pixar animation continues to achieve greatness. The best part about a Pixar film is the attention to detail. This company makes sure that every idea and frame has exactly what it needs. Aside from detail, Pixar also provides a simple plot line that helps children of all ages follow along with ease. Out of all the animated films to come out this year, I would rank this movie as being the best of the year. Oscar Watch for best animated film. Bottom Line: This Holiday season, don’t make it a “Blockbuster Night,” (in fact, don’t ever make it a “Blockbuster Night,” instead rent from stores that aren’t a huge corporate conglomerate) hurry to the theatres and save your seats because this movie is one exciting ride!
Only downside: Running time. Including all the previews, this movie is about 20 to 25 minutes too long.
