Hit – Starring Andy Samberg, Isla Fisher, Will Arnet, Ian McShane, Bill Hader
Amateur stuntman Rod Kimble (Samberg) devises a plan to raise money to save his stepfather’s life, jump fifteen buses in a single bound. The problem is, Kimble can’t even clear the local pool. Will he be able to reach his goal and earn his stepfather’s respect?
Let me just start by saying this is not the best film of the year but certainly has great laughs through out because of the fact that it is over-the-top. This movie far surpasses the most current film of a similar competitive theme, Talladega Nights.
The role of Rod Kimble was originally intended for Will Ferrell. But I don’t think it would have been as successful if the movie decided to execute this film with an older cast.
My favorite part of the movie is the never ending “falling” scene in which Rod is tumbling down a mountain after punch dancing around a redwood forest.
Bottom Line: This comedy is “hot.”
Comedy
Rated PG-13 for crude humor, language, some comic drug-related and violent content.
Running Time: 1 hour 28 minutes
